Holmes Beach Florida
Holmes Beach is located in Manatee County and is the largest of three island communities on Anna Maria Island, which is found on the Gulf of Mexico just south of the mouth of Tampa Bay. The population estimate for Holmes Beach is roughly 3900 residents. It boasts miles of gorgeous white, sandy beaches, emerald Gulf waters, and abundant sunshine.If you want to spend a day on the water, there is excellent fishing in the waters surrounding Anna Maria Island.
Holmes Beach was named for John E. Holmes, Sr., the property developer who started this planned community after World War II.
